One More 2008 Christmas Card

For these four 2008 cards, StampinUp supplies were used. I don't think the stamp set is retired yet. I really liked this stamp set. I think 2008 is the year when the IN COLORS included Purely Pomegranate and Wild Wasabi. Great colors. I really liked those colors and still have some of the card stock. I used these colors in some of the 2008 cards. Wild Wasabi is part of SU's current color groups whereas the Purely Pomegranate was retired. I have a few more Christmas cards from my 2009 and 2010 SU monthly club and a couple more of my own 2010 creations which I will post at another time.

2008 Christmas Cards

I think I should have started off with the past years' cards and work up to the 2010 cards. It would be easier for you to follow. I will have to finish posting the rest of the pictures later. I haven't been regular in my posting since I created this blog and now I am bombarding you with bunches of stuff. Be patient and I hope you don't get bored. Would love to hear from you so leave me a comment. :)

More 2009 Christmas Cards

These two cards used StampinUp card stock and Basic Grey designer print paper. The ribbon was from my stash. I bought the JOY sentiment stamp from Hobby Lobby and the PEACE,LOVE,JOY sentiment is a retired SU stamp.

2009 Christmas Cards

These are the 2009 Christmas cards I made. The majority of the supplies used are from StampinUp.

Catching Up for the Holidays

It has been so long since I have posted anything that I wasn't sure if I still knew how to post. I took a lot of pictures today. Current Christmas cards, Christmas cards from 2008 and 2009,pictures of projects I have completed in the past 3-4 years, and cards that I have made in a StampinUp monthly club for 2010 and 2009. I will try to give as much info as possible for each item. It will probably take a day or two to put all the pictures up. It's 5 days until Christmas and there's lots to do. May have to finish posting pictures after Jan 1.

The following picture is of this year's card. I waited too long and had to rush making them. I mailed them today. Had 20 on my list. The layout of the card was copied from GinaK's StampTV video named Metallic Enhancements. GinaK has fantastic video tutorials and I frequent her site quite often for ideas. See my sidebar and click to see her great site.

I used the following to make this card:
SU Cherry Cobbler & Very Vanilla Card Stock
Sentiment from Our Daily Bread Designs
Rhinestones were colored with Copic marker R39 Garnet
Gold embossing: SU gold and detail gold
Nestibilities: Oval Petite, Scallop Oval Petite, Fancy Tags

One of My Birthday Cards

I'm back sooner than I thought! Here's one of the birthday cards I received. It is a beautiful card by my good friend and stamping buddy Lisa T. She has great talent and creativity and I love her work. She tends to be loyal to Stampin' Up so I'm sure that the card and accessories are all SU. We both wish we could get together more often to stamp but Lisa has a full time day job but we do plan to get together soon to make Christmas cards. I really look forward to that. Enjoy her card.

Checking In with an Update

Hello to anyone out there stopping by. Just wanted to let you know I am still alive and kicking (but not kicking too wildly)! Just turned 65 on Wednesday. Enjoyed the day with dinner out with family and well wishes from family and friends.

I haven't posted lately because I am decluttering my house. I have boxes of stuff sitting all over my house. I am planning to have a yard sale in about 2 weeks. Some of this stuff I don't even remember buying. I have lots of kitchen stuff, books, CDs, VHS & cassette tapes. Some excess furniture from my Heinz 57 collections, knick-knacks and all the stuff that you usually see at yardsales. I can't wait to get rid of it. It's lots of hard work gathering up the stuff and pricing it.

I am looking forward to fall. I want cool weather so bad. I am not a summer person. Although I love the sunshine in all seasons, I can't take that humidity. So fall is my favorite season.

I am thinking about posting past Christmas cards I have made. It will probably be after the yardsale. Then after I organize a few things which shouldn't be too hard with more space, I plan to jump in and make some Christmas cards and will post those too. Scrapbooking probably won't come until after the first of the year.

Anyway, I just wanted to check in since it had been awhile. Leave me comments if you want to. I would love to hear from you. Until the next time, LIVE, LAUGH, LOVE!

Fun Card - Humorous Seniors

I love this stamp image. The name of the image is Sunning Sadie. There is a site called I Brake for Stamps that has humorous images and sayings about seniors. I find that as I get older myself, I don't care if people cast fun remarks at seniors. After all, some of them can be pretty funny. But I love this line of stamps so I will probably make more cards withthem. I have some old friends out there (and you know who you are!)so I will probably send some of these cards to them. :)

SUPPLIES USED:
Stamps: Sunning Sadie from I Brake for Stamps and sentiment from IBFS
Ink: Memento Black Tuxedo, Copics BG05, BG02, BG01, YR18, YR68, YR04, YR24, YR23, YR21
Card Stock: SU Tempting Turquoise & Pumpkin Pie; DCWV Citrus Stack
Accessories: SU Ribbon & Brads in TT & PP; Label 8 Nestibilities, SU Dazzling Diamonds Glitter

Birthday Card

This is a birthday card for my grandson's 5th birthday. So Mom when you see this, don't let Jared see it. When I saw this stamp image on 7KidsCollege Fund site, it reminded me of Jared and his dog Madison. Notice the big paws. Madison has big paws like that. Madison and Jared love to play but when Madison gets tired, she would prefer that Jared leave her alone while she takes a nap. Madison is getting older but even if she is tired, she doesn't like to miss out on any excitement. That's a lab for you. I enjoyed making this card because I got the chance to use my Copic markers.

SUPPLIES USED:
Stamps: Ice Cream for Two from High Hopes; Sentiment from SU MOM set
Ink: Memento Black Tuxedo, Copics E33, E31, E53, C9, C0, E27, B97, B95, B93, B91, RV14, RV13, RV10, YG06, Y00, Y000, E41, E02, E00, E000
Card Stock: SU Chocolate Chip, SU Sweet Pea Design Pack, GinaK 80# White
Accessories: EKSuccess Flourishes Punch, SB Octagon Nestibilities

I'm Back

I need to get my "MoJo" going and create some cards. Sometimes I think that when I look at different sites and blogs to get ideas for card making that I spend too much time looking and not creating. I plan to make a couple of cards this week and post them. I have spent time practicing coloring with my Copic markers. I would like to use my Copics in making the cards this week so please be patient with me and I will eventually get there.

The summer is busy for me. I spend time with my grandkids and I am also gathering household items for a yard sale which is a big undertaking for me. As I get older it seems that everything I do is in slow motion and I don't accomplish as much in one day as I used to. :D

Creating Blog for the First Time - Creation in Process

Come back to visit soon. I plan to add scrapbook layouts and cards that I have made.
